Elizabeth Daly is a trophic ecologist with the Juvenile Salmon Ocean Ecosystem Survey, specializing in trophic characteristics of juvenile Pacific salmon and the ecology of their prey, as well as nekton in the upper water column of the ocean. Elizabeth enjoys working with students, at times giving them their first lab and field experiences. Elizabeth loves the ocean and has lived in the Newport area for over 30 years and comes from Washington D.C. where she received her B.S. in marine biology at the University of Maryland while working for the Smithsonian Institution. Her first 10 years in Newport were spent working at the Oregon Coast Aquarium collecting and caring for animals, as well as culturing jellyfish.
