Angie uses genomic tools, including population genomics, transcriptomics and environmental (e)DNA, to study the impact of a changing ocean on marine animals for the conservation of marine ecosystems. Her research has had a focus on marine mammal populations and uses an interdisciplinary approach to answer questions from population connectivity to the biology of individual organisms and to assess ecosystem response to a changing climate and anthropogenic stress.

Angie received her MSc and PhD from Oregon State University. After completing a National Research Council Fellowship with NOAA Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory (PMEL) Acoustic program, Angie continues to be a part of the NOAA PMEL Acoustic program assisting in acoustic data quality control and data review. Angie is also an affiliate with OSU Marine Mammal Institute.
